Here are some ideas to kick start your day with energizing healthy breakfast to beat the heat.

It’s a favourite for all age groups… best to combine with all the seasonal fruits and eat when chilled.

Take milk in any vessel and place it on flame. Keep 3/4 cup cold milk for later use. Add custard powder in cold milk and stir until all lumps dissolve. After 4-5 minutes, when milk starts simmering, add custard batter steadily. Keep stirring the milk with help of a spoon. Add entire custard batter and mix nicely. Add sugar as well. Stir the milk-custard batter rigorously and cook for 7-8 minutes until it gets thick in consistency.

After custard gets cooled, add chopped fruits and cream into it. Mix all ingredients nicely. Keep the custard in refrigerator for 2-3 hours.

Lassi is another cooling and refreshing drink to have in the summers

Take the yogurt, cardamom powder, water and sugar in a blender, blend till the yogurt is evenly blended, add crushed ice cubes, garnish lassi with some cardamom powder and sliced almonds, cashew nuts or any dry fruit of your choice.
